See I can post videos of my child too!

Hide and Seek!

See I can post videos of my child too!

This is her morning routine every time I make coffee. She is so obsessed with water!

Brooke's Wedding

Thought a few of you might be interested in seeing some of these. Oh by the way they look a little funny because I'm cheap and don't want to order pics from the photographer so I took pics of the pics on the computer. Sad I know.

My first battle scar

So this is my first injury at work. These pics are a few days afterwards so it looked a little better. Believe it or not this is from a tiny little 5 lb rat terrier named 'One Eyed Malachi' with a history of not liking to be put back in his room, which I was conveniently not informed of. I turned aroung to leave and he sunk his teeth in to my calf through my pants and shook his head violently! I was actually scared of this little thing and began screaming thinking I wouldn't make it out of this room alive! jk It's funny now, but definately wasn't at the time.

Bathroom decorations

Most of you probably won't be interested in this, but these are the pathetic little highlights of my life right now. It's nice to finally have a decorated bathroom. (And yes Jason actually likes the flowers too in case you were wondering. haha)

My New Job!

So I'm officially getting out of the restaurant industry! (Hopefully for good) I am going to be a supervisor for the Pet Hotel inside PetsMart. I get to work the front desk and best of all with the dogs and cats in the back-walking them, playing with them, giving meds, etc. I think I'll have about 20 employees I'm responsible for watching, but mainly I think I get to work side by side with them which is really exciting! I get paid well, full benefits, a real 40 hour work week, and I get to do something fun that I have a passion for. It's about time. There is lots of room for growth too, since it's the only hotel in the metroplex. Moving up into management or dog training are two very big possibilities for the future. I start training this week so wish me luck!

Our first visitor- aka- a good excuse to do fun things!

Our friend Stephanie came to visit from TX last week and we had a great time.

First we went to Venice and layed around on the beach

Then we did a whale watching tour off Newport Beach(one of my favorites)- supposed to have been 2 and a half hours but we of course went on the one day that was too windy so they turned around in about an hour.

The wind caused the water to be so choppy that the visibility was so poor to spot any whales or dolphins. We did recieve free passes to come back again though. It was really cool regaldless.

But we saw some sea lions on the way out

And lots of pretty scenery

And some cool sailboats

We had followers the whole way back to shore

Then we drove up the Pacific Coast Highway for a couple hours, watching the sunset, and stopped at the Santa Monica pier. This family was catching stingrays- so cool- don't worry they put him back. ;-)

Fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, broiled shrimp, sauteed shrimp, shrimp kabob... ok I'll stop

The so very cool ferris wheel and roller coaster that winds around the whole pier.
FYI: there is a very funny video to come. Crazy people apparently perform on the pier at night for tips and we got this hilarious clip, but I'll have to add it later.

We also went to Huntington Beach all day, relaxed on the beach, then went to Main Street where there was a festival going on. We fell in love with this city-very cool little laid back beach town.

Malibu

Lexi Update

A few of her new favorite places. She's about to be a year old!

The Fourth

Ew, I hate this picture, but it's the only one I took at this really cool house party we went to on the fourth. Jason has a high school friend from TX that moved to LA a few years ago. He's been inviting us lots of places and trying to help us meet people. So on the 4th we went to a house right on Hermosa Beach- so cool. You literally walk along the beach next to all these big fancy houses, and hang out on the porch watching the crowds of people walk by, play volleyball, etc. Everyone was so friendly, and we got to eat all day for free! I had way too many clothes on compared to everyone else, but hey it was my first beach house party. Next time I'll be prepared!

Then we walked straight onto the beach and layed down to watch fireworks!

Looks like it's snowing but it's just a dirty lense. Ha ha.

Attempting to take a picture of fireworks, but you get the idea.

Even though there's no proof in these pictures, there were fireworks coming from every angle and every coast. On the way home in good ol' California traffic there were fireworks being shot EVERYWHERE-right next to the highway- from people's houses-crazy! Apparently it's illegal here too but no one listens. My kind of place. ;-)

My Bday

We layed kinda low for the ol' 26th. Enjoyed some dinner and a movie.
